Star Investigative Reporter Bails from Newsweek, Joins NBC News

Steve Capus, president of NBC News, announced that Newsweek’s National Investigative Correspndent is leaving to become a correspondent with the same title at NBC, reports TVNewser.com.

Isikoff will be reunited with his former editor at Newsweek, Mark Whitaker, who is now the chief of the Washington bureau of NBC News.

Isikoff is slated to appear on "Today," "NBC Nightly News" and MSNBC. In a statement, Capus said, "Michael is one of the most respected and distinguished investigative journalists in the business. I am extremely proud of our investigative team and having Michael join the ranks makes our investigative unit the strongest in the industry."
