Matthew McConaughey and his production company are developing a comedy cable project called "Kick Ass Militia,"  reports Deadline.com.

McConaughey’s production company, J.K. Livin, is working on the project with FX.

It’s based on source material from McConaughey’s friend JR Reed, and focuses on the conflicts between two brothers, one a survivalist and the other a "free-loving cult leader," according to the article.  J.K. Livin has been boosting its TV work of late, the article says, with a focus on developing male-focused comedies.
