Telemundo will team up with the NBC Universal Television Consumer Products Group and Big Tent Entertainment — in association with The Richline Group, Inc. and designer Udi Behr — to launch a new jewelry web site today called Telemundojewelry.com, the network announced today.
The web site will offer TV watchers to purchase jewelry that’s worn by the stars of Telemundo programs. Collections of jewelry items — necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings that are made with a variety of materials and stones — that have been featured on Telemundo’s novelas "El Chon" and "Donde Esta Elisa?" will be the first pieces for sale.
The complete product launch for the Telemundo jewelry will be on sale in retail stores around the country in the fall. Udi Behr used the rich storylines and colorful characters from the telenovelas as his inspiration for the jewelry.
Jewelry is only the first part of a larger effort to create products based on Telemundo programming. Future lines will include home furnishings.
