In a deal with WWE, YouTube will be adding full-length wrestling programs such as "Friday Night SmackDown", reports Thomas Pardee in Advertising Age.
The WWE will also add some clips from shows such as "WWE Monday Night Raw" and "WWE Classics" to its YouTube channel, the report says. The deal is part of YouTube’s efforts to compete with sites such as Hulu, which offer a selection of full-length television shows, the story says.
This partnership is one of the first for YouTube, which previously only offered full-length shows from Univision and the U.K.’s Channel 4 and Channel 5, it adds.
