While the governor of Illinois, Rod Blagojevich was seriously considering offering a prominent television personality the seat left vacant by Barack Obama when Obama became President of the United States, reports Politico.com.

Blago believed that nobody would argue with his choice of Oprah Winfrey, and characterized Oprah as a kingmaker, noting that she had a big part in Obama’s success.
