AMC’s ‘Rubicon,’ a moody new drama about a code breaker, broke the network’s record for a debut audience with an average of 2 million viewers on Sunday, reports Multichannel News.

That broke the network’s previous record, which was held by 1960s drama "Mad Men," which had drawn 1.8 million viewers to its July 2007 debut, the story says. It was also more than the 1.5 million viewers who tuned into the 2008 premiere of "Breaking Bad."
