Bret Michaels, the frontman for the band Poison, has signed on to co-host the Miss Universe Pageant on NBC this year with a "Today" show co-anchor, reports TVGuide.com.

The co-host will be Natalie Morales.

The show marks another venture between Michaels and Donald Trump, who owns the Miss Universe Organization. Michaels had previously appeared on "Celebrity Apprentice," a reality show on NBC hosted by Trump, and which he won in May after dealing with a string of serious health issues. The pageant will be broadcast live from Las Vegas on Aug. 23 on NBC, the story says.
