Fox’s "Lone Star" is close to signing a deal for Andie McDowell to join the cast, a move that would represent the actor’s first major television role, reports EW.com’s The Ausiello Files.

McDowell would play the love interest to Jon Voigt’s character, an oil tycoon, the story says.

The show has also hired Rosa Blasi of "Make It or Break It" to play Blake, a trophy wife of the character played by Mark Deklin, the article adds. The show will follow a con man, played by James Wolk, who leads a double life.
