Ryan Murphy, co-creator of Fox’s hit series "Glee," plans to do another musical series, starring a Broadway actress who also has an Emmy Award on her trophy shelf, reports TV Squad.
At the TCA gathering for "Glee," Murphy talked about his plan to do a show starring Kristin Chenoweth. "I’ve always wanted to do something for Kristin … so I’m writing a half-hour musical comedy specifically for Kristin because if you can sing like that, I want her to be the star of her own show where she sings,” he said. “I can’t say too much about it yet. Kristin is so funny. I want it to be adult."
Murphy added that like his FX series "Nip/Tuck," the Chenoweth project would be much darker than "Glee."
Chenoweth won an Emmy Award as outstanding supporting actress for her role in ABC’s "Pushing Daisies."
