…Likewise, a Comcast TV Survey Is Both Cool and Creepy

Aug 19, 2010  •  Post A Comment

In a recent survey by Comcast about which of the shows set to debut this fall is most anticipated,  CBS’ "Hawaii Five-O" came out as the number one pick, says the Washington Post’s Lisa de Moraes.

However, on the creepy side, de Moraes writes, "Comcast, the company that is buying NBC Universal, believes "The Prisoner" — the 1960s British cult hit TV series that starred Patrick McGoohan, who has been dead for more than a year — is returning to American primetime TV in the fall.

"Even worse, when Comcast included "The Prisoner" in a list of seven "returning" TV shows it gave to 1,000 people who participated in a survey and asked which of the seven they were most excited to see return, far more people picked that show than picked NBC’s returning comedy series ‘Community,’ starring Joel McHale."

  1. Though it’s much more likely the respondents thought AMC’s remake of The Prisoner from last year would be returning…
