‘ET’ Quickly Names Replacement After Mary Hart Makes It Official That She’s Leaving the Show

Aug 5, 2010  •  Post A Comment

After 28 years as the co-anchor of "Entertainment Tonight," Mary Hart has decided to leave the show –and "ET" was quick to name a replacement, reports TheWrap.

"The Insider’s" Lara Spencer will be Hart’s replacement, according to the story.

Both shows are part of CBS Television syndication, so shifting Spencer to "ET" would be a logical move. It has yet to be confirmed, however, as CBS Television declined commenting on the report.

"ET" celebrates its 30th anniversary next season, and Hart will depart at the end of the season. She has yet to decide what she will do after "ET."

  1. The more logical move would have been offering Mary’s spot to Samantha Harris…then again, that’s just me!

  2. Too bad Julie Chen was already booked with three other shows. She could have driven ET into the ground also.

  3. Nancy Odell would have been a good choice.

  4. Lara is a great choice. Hire Nancy Odell for The Insider.

  5. Will always remember her for her voice causing seizures and the Seinfeld episode… ah, the memories…
