Drew Carey, who has lost 80 lbs, tells People how he’s done it.
According to the article, Carey, 52, showed up at a party during the the TV Critics tour last week and said, ""It sucks being fat, you know. I was diabetic with Type-2 diabetes.”
But with his dramatic weight loss the diabetes is gone, Carey told People.
Here’s Carey’s secret. Carey told people, "No carbs. I have cheated a couple times, but basically no carbs, not even a cracker. No bread at all. No pizza, nothing. No corn, no beans, no starches of any kind. Egg whites in the morning or like, Greek yogurt, cut some fruit."
The article adds, "He snacks on fruit, and for dinner he’ll have grilled chicken and steamed vegetables and water. ‘I don’t drink anything but water,’ he says. ‘No coffee, no tea, no soda.’ "
Also important, Carey says, are his 45 minutes of (almost) daily exercise that emphsize cardio workouts.
