Tyra Banks has apologized for and removed a promo for "America’s Next Top Model" which featured an aspiring model with a shockingly small waist, reports the New York Daily News.

"On behalf of the entire ‘Top Model’ team, I am truly sorry for the style in which the ‘Top Model’ promo clip was presented," Banks wrote on Tyra.com. In the clip, which features a 6′ 2" 19-year old woman from Dallas, Banks tells her, "You have the smallest waist in the world,’ and then adds, "There’s something about her I like!"

Banks has struggled with her own body image and criticism, with several tabloids commenting on her weight in 2006, calling her "Tyra Porkchop," the article says. Banks said she offered support to the 19-year old aspiring model, who was "experiencing her own internal struggles with her body, and the cruelty she faces on a daily basis directly related to the way she looks."
