Elin Nordegren talked openly about her divorce from Tiger Woods, made final this week, and the circumstances leading to the dissolution of their marriage in an interview with People magazine, AOL Sports reports on its Fanhouse Web page.
She said she never suspected that Woods was having affairs. "I’m so embarrassed that I never suspected–not a one," Nordegren told the publication. "For the past three-and-a-half years, when all this was going on, I was home a lot more with pregnancies, then the children and my school."
She added that she never hit Woods with a golf club, as some reports indicated. "There was never any violence inside or outside our home,” she said. “The speculation that I would have used a golf club to hit him is just truly ridiculous."
Asked whether she would ever forgive him, she told the publication, “Forgiveness takes time. … It is the last step of the grieving process."
I am glad that Elin Nordegren broke her silence and that she is free at last from the despicable Tiger Woods who appears to be a man with serious issues! Elin Nordegren appears to be a woman true to herself and there is no money that can buy the dignity, self respect, courage and moral principles of a true woman!!! What Tiger Woods did to Elin Nordegren was criminal and coward! He showed no compassion, respect or caring for his wife or children! I believe that Elin has a right to tell her story to the world since she and the children are the only true innocent victims in this horrid ordeal! Elin Nordegren deserves more than she got for being dragged through the mud by Woods. I guess some men can’t be happy with what they have and have to constantly look for approval or awe. Whatever Woods was seeking, I hope he finds it. Ms Nordegren will be fine, she is beautiful and has handled this difficult situation with grace.
