Verizon Plans to Allow FiOS TV Customers to Watch Live TV Shows on Apple’s iPad

Verizon is planning to allow its FiOS TV customers to watch live television shows on Apple’s iPad, an expansion of a service that allows them to view on-demand shows such as rented movies, reports Bloomberg News.

The additional service will begin next quarter, the story says. The technology is ready, although Verizon is still in negotiations with the owners of the programs, including CNN and Time Warner, about the service. The story says that content owners are more likely to approve the service for in-home usage first. "This is why we built FiOS the way we did, and this is why we made the investment,” said Verizon Chief Information Officer Shaygan Kheradpir.

  1. Music was my asylum. I could crawl into the pause between the notes and curl my back to loneliness.

  2. Love the blog here. Nice colors. I am definitely staying tuned to this one. Hope to see more.
