Self-help guru Tony Robbins has found that television isn’t particularly motivated to keep trying if a show isn’t breaking through to audiences, reports James Hibberd at The Hollywood Reporter’s The Live Feed blog.
His show, "Breakthrough with Tony Robbins," has been pulled off the air by NBC after just two episodes, the story says. There were four episodes remaining, and it’s unclear if they’ll be shown online.
Robbins sought to show how his motivational work can help people deal with challenges, but audiences weren’t moved to tune in, with the most recent episode only drawing 2.8 million viewers, the story says. NBC instead will air repeats of "Minute to Win It," a game show, during the Tuesday time period.
