This won’t surprise anyone who’s been paying attention to U.S. census data over the last few years.

Univision, already bigger than The CW, will be the No. 1 U.S. broadcaster in a few years, based on a survey of ad buyers, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

The network has seen double-digit ratings growth this season, outpacing any of its English-speaking rivals, the story points out. While the notion would have had network executives laughing a few years ago, it’s taken quite seriously now, the article notes.

"On Friday nights, they’re close to being No. 1 already," points out Brad Adgate, the director of research at Horizon Media. None of the big four networks commented, the story says.
