Dog the Bounty Hunter, the star of the A&E television series that goes by the same name, was hospitalized on Saturday after an injury following a bounty hunt, reports E! Online.

Duane "Dog" Chapman was admitted for tests for a possible blood clot, according to wife Beth Chapman, the story says. She called the injury "an occupational hazard."

She tweeted on Sunday morning that, "Yes dog is injured it is an occupational hazard that we deal with he is very strong and in excellent condition he will 4 sure survive :)," the story says. The seventh season of the show debuts on Wednesday.
