The ABC alien-invasion show ‘V’, which will return for its sophomore season in January, has had its second season trimmed to 10 shows from 13 episodes, reports Nellie Andreeva at Deadline.com. 

The show will start Jan. 4 and air in 9 p.m. time slot on Tuesdays now held by "Dancing With the Stars," the story says. That will give "V" a window of 12 weeks until the spring debut of "Dancing" on March 29, but the period is expected to include two preemptions, leading the shorter order, the story adds.
