It has only been a few months since Christiane Amanpour took over ABC’s "This Week," but the New York Post reports that some of the people with whom she works are not thrilled to have her anchoring the show.
Staff in the ABC News bureau in Washington claim that Amanpour is treating the assignment like she’s a foreign correspondent, the story says. She reads about what happens in D.C. then flies in on Fridays to do the show on Sunday.
"She is very cold and distant with the other bureau staff," one insider is quoted as saying.
A network spokesperson declared that the former CNN reporter is doing a great job. As for her remaining in New York for most of the week instead of being in Washington, a friend of Amanpour’s told the Post she has a young son attending school in Manhattan.
Other staffers may be afraid that the show will move to New York, the story says.
