‘Big Bang,’ ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Top Thursday Night Ratings

Returning series "The Big Bang Theory" on CBS and "Grey’s Anatomy" on ABC led the way in Thursday night’s Nielsen ratings race, according to TVbytheNumbers.com.

At 8 p.m. "Big Bang" was the top show with a 4.0 in the 18-49 demographic, followed at 8:30 by "$#*! My Dad Says," which collected a 2.8 in the same demo. Fox’s "Bones" had a 2.6 in the 18-49 demo for the hour. NBC’s two sitcoms, "Community" and "30 Rock," had ratings of 1.7 and 2.1, respectively, in the 18-49 demo for the hour. CW’s "Vampire Diaries" had a 1.6 rating in 18-49.

At 9 p.m. "Grey’s Anatomy" earned the highest rating of the evening with a 4.5 in the 18-49 demo for the hour. NBC’s "The Office" and "Outsourced" collected a 3.4 rating and a 2.5, respectively, in the 18-49 demographic. CBS’s "CSI" was ahead of Fox’s "Fringe," 2.7 to 2.0 in the 18-49 demographic. CW’s "Nikita" earned a 1.1 for the hour in 18-49.

CBS’s "The Mentalist" at 10 p.m. logged a 3.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic, while ABC’s "Private Practice" was a tick behind with a 2.9 and NBC’s "The Apprentice" trailed with a 1.3 in the 18-49 demographic.
