MTV is close to deal that would revive "Punk’d," this time with teen singing phenom Justin Bieber as host, reports Joe Adalian at Vulture.com and  Nellie Andreeva at Deadline.com.

Both stories appeared on their respective websites this morning, Tuesday, Oct. 5th, 2010,  at exactly 10 am (PT), and neither one said from where the information came.

According to the Deadline.com story, "The show’s creators/ executive producers, original host Ashton Kutcher and Jason Goldberg, are back to executive produce the new installment through their company Katalyst."

The show would probably launch sometime in 2011, the article says.
