Writer-producer Joe Pokaski, best known for "Heroes," is developing a family drama for NBC about brothers working together in the world of NASCAR, called "The Crew," reports Deadline.com.
Pokaski is developing the show with NBC Universal-based producer Scott Stuber. NBC and NASCAR are reportedly cooperating on the project, with talks taking place about the use of the racing league’s name, logos, tracks and racing footage.
Stuber also has a NASCAR feature film in the works, according to the story.
Based on attendance at the races and the drop in ratings this show may be five years too late.
At least five years…maybe ten or more!!
