Comcast is debuting its online video service to its 23 million subscribers, offering a service that doesn’t carry additional fees yet allows viewers to watch 25,000 (!) television show episodes, reports Multichannel News.

The cable operator has added shows from Showtime Networks and many from Viacom’s networks to the service, which also offers 30,000 movies to stream, rent of buy, according to the article.

Xfinity TV was previously tested in a beta service in December 2009, although was only available to those customers who paid for both cable and broadband, which amounted to roughly 14 million customers, the story says.
