Multiple Emmy winner Ed Asner ("The Mary Tyler Moore Show") is returning to television in the first scripted series for CMT, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Asner will co-star with Melissa Peterman in "Working Class." He will be playing Peterman’s grouchy neighbor in an upper-class suburban enclave.

Asner’s been busy of late, including joining the cast of HBO’s "Too Big to Fail" as Warren Buffett.

CMT’s Brad Johnson, senior VP of development, told the publication, "We are thrilled to have the iconic Ed Asner join Melissa and our entire cast as we launch our first sitcom. Asner is synonymous with legendary television, and we know he will bring a classic comedic edge to our fresh family sitcom."
