President Barack Obama has been booked as a guest on a cable talk show, TVNewser reports, and it will be the first time a sitting U.S. president has appeared on Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show.”

In anticipation of the "Rally for Sanity and/or Fear," the show’s host, Jon Stewart, will tape a week of shows in Washington. His interview with Obama will be taped Oct. 27, with the rally scheduled for three days later.

Obama recently appeared on MTV as part of a town hall discussion. MTV and Comedy Central are both owned by MTV Networks.
