Remember ‘Meet the Fockers’? Pauly Shore Will Host a Reality Show Version of That Basic Premise

Plans have been announced for a new reality show to be hosted by comic Pauly Shore. A January 2011 premiere has been set, and 10 episodes of the show are planned on CMT.

The show, "Meet the In-Laws," will feature recently engaged couples who don’t know each other’s families. They will each spend a week alone with the future in-laws to get to know them better, with Shore along as the play-by-play commentator and occasional instigator.

Claire McCabe, CMT’s vice president of original programming and development, said the show will spotlight the “unlikely, revealing and sometimes embarrassing situations that result."

  1. What… was there no one else available? What is CMT thinking? This is the 21st Century. When was the last time anything funny (first time?) was heard out of him? Almost anybody would work except Pauly Shore. Cute premise, but like Godfrey Gottlieb (sp?) I’d run from a TV set when I see/hear either of them. Good luck!

  2. Who the hell is “Godfrey Gottlieb?”
It’s more than your spelling (sp?)that’s off, it’s your whole premise. I can only imagine that you might mean Gilbert Gottfried, but what the hell do I know. Hey denlink, are by chance my 68 year-old mother?!?! I’m surprised you even know who Pauly Shore is!?!?!

  4. I enjoy the writing relevancy of your website and it does a attractive decent job of presenting the info.
