Verizon to Begin Selling iPads This Month as Deal With Apple Gets Closer

Oct 14, 2010  •  Post A Comment

Verizon Wireless has announced that it will start selling iPads later this month, AFP reports.

The move brings Apple and Verizon one step closer to their impending partnership as Apple apparently moves toward ending its exclusive arrangement with AT&T for service on Apple’s mobile devices.

Beginning Oct. 28, Verizon shops around the country will sell certain models of Apple’s tablet computers. The company will not yet be selling the iPads with built-in broadband capacity, but rather the models with Wi-Fi Internet capability.

AT&T will begin selling 3G iPad models the same day, the story says, along with Wi-Fi models.

Verizon has said it will offer bundles that match its iPads with Mobile Hotspot devices capable of linking to the Internet via Verizon’s 3G network, the story says.

  1. The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.

  2. Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

  3. hi,
what is your opinion for Wayne Rooney
Will he really leave Old Trafford?
because there is now speculation that the 24 year-old could be on the move. It really wouldn’t surprise me if he did move on after all that’s gone on. However it would need to be abroad if he was to avoid the British media.

  4. Thanks.

  5. Nicely said.

  6. I love the expression. Everyone needs to express there own opinion and feel free to hear others. Keep it up 🙂
