British TV’s Channel 4, which is set to air a TV movie this Thursday imagining what would have happened if Prince Harry had been kidnapped by the Taliban when he served in Afghanistan, has drawn harsh criticism from the British military, reports USA Today.
"The Taking of Prince Harry" is a 90-minute fictional film based in part on Prince Harry’s 10-week stint in Afghanistan as part of the English army. Air Chief Marshal Jock Stirrup, the leader of the British military, declared that if the film airs it could jeopardize troop security in Afghanistan. He has reportedly demanded that Channel 4 withdraw the production.
Channel 4 stands behind the film, saying it is a serious examination of a current issue, the story reports.
