An actress will say in an interview on "Oprah" today, Monday, Nov. 1, 2010, that she developed an eating disorder while on "Ally McBeal" that led to her weighing 82 pounds, reports RadarOnline.com.

The actress is Portia de Rossi, who currently happens to be the spouse of Ellen DeGeneres. De Rossi played lawyer Nell Porter on "Ally McBeal."

"I wasn’t that proud of it," de Rossi says. "But it was certainly a recognition for my self-control. I definitely had some pretty amazing will power to get down to 82 pounds. And that’s what I was holding on it. I didn’t think of anything else." She adds that her anxieties about her sexual orientation in Hollywood added to her weight problems, the story says.

Interestingly, it was pointed out by a number of observers that at times during the run of "McBeal" it seemed series star Calista Flockhart had an eating disorder.
