As Anchor Awaits Twins, CNN Morning Show Is Poised to Be Rebuilt

CNN’s "American Morning" may get dismantled, as co-anchor John Roberts may move to Atlanta from New York to be with his fiancee, CNN anchor Kyra Phillips, who is pregnant with twins, the New York Post’s Page Six reports.

CNN Executive VP Ken Jautz, who replaced Jon Klein at the network, will focus on daytime, with his first step to deal with "American Morning," which the story says is the lowest-rated cable morning show.

Staffers are also allegedly frustrated with Roberts, who the story claims is perceived as a tyrant who freaks out over stories and guests. Co-anchor Kiran Chetry has also been a target of criticism and could be the first to go, the story says.

However, a CNN rep is quoted in the story saying, “There are no plans in place to change ‘American Morning’ at this time.”
