Actor Michael Keaton, who played Beetlejuice–and was also Batman– will executive produce, direct and star in projects for the premium cable network HBO, according to the article.

Michael Lombardo, president of HBO Programming, said, "Michael Keaton is a multifaceted talent who never fails to engage the audience in fresh ways. We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to collaborate with him."

Keaton expressed his excitement about the deal, saying, "When you look at the overall landscape out there and see what’s getting done, you realize it’s not only the types of things HBO is doing, but how extraordinarily well they do them. The question really becomes, why would you not want to be in business with these folks when they ask?"

  1. What is with Beetlejuice? Is that supposed to be a joke? There are many films that he is famous for, especially in the 80’s. Night Shift, Mr. Mom, Gung Ho, Johnny Dangerously, and Batman (and Batman Returns).

  2. You also forgot to mention that he reportedly turned down $35 million for Batman Returns in 1995; when $35 million was a lot of cash.
