CBS edged out ABC in another close battle for Thursday night ratings supremacy, and once again it was the two networks’ powerhouse shows–CBS’s “Big Bang Theory” and ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy”–leading the way, TVbytheNumbers.com reports.

For the night, CBS came out on top in the 18-49 demo with a 3.3 rating to ABC’s 3.1. Fox trailed with a 2.3 rating, just ahead of NBC’s 2.2.

The margin in total viewers was greater for CBS, which won the night with 13.5 million to ABC’s 9.0 million, Fox’s 7.2 million and NBC’s 4.9 million.

At 8 p.m. CBS’s "The Big Bang Theory" logged a 4.3 rating and "$#*! My Dad Says" had a 3.1 in the 18-49 demographic. Fox’s "Bones" had a 2.7 in that demo for the hour, compared with NBC’s two sitcoms, "Community" and "30 Rock," getting a 1.9 and a 2.3, respectively, in the 18-49 demo.

At 9 p.m. ABC’s "Grey’s Anatomy" matched "Big Bang" with a 4.3, while CBS’s "CSI" scored a 3.1 for the hour, both in the 18-49 demo. NBC’s "The Office" and "Outsourced" had a 3.7 rating and a 2.7, respectively, in that demo. Fox’s "Fringe" trailed with a 1.9 in the 18-49 demographic.

The 10 p.m. hour was barely won by CBS’s "The Mentalist" with a 3.0, with ABC’s "Private Practice" just behind at 2.9, both in the 18-49 demographic. NBC’s "The Apprentice" managed only a 1.2 in the 18-49 demo.
