CBS Television Studios has signed a three-year overall deal with "Law & Order: SVU" showrunner Neal Baer, reports Deadline.com.

The deal starts on June 2, which is a day after his contract on "SVU" expires, the story says. While NBC pursued Baer to remain, he decided CBS was best suited for him, the article adds. The contract is said to be in the high seven figures, and includes development and showrunner services, it says.
