Dish Network on Wednesday introduced its Google TV offer, which will allow customers to surf the Web and watch additional online TV content from their television screens, reports The Hollywood Reporter. Dish’s Google TV offer will cost customers $179 for a set-top box, as well as a $4-per-month fee for DVR integration, the article notes.
The article also reports that Verizon’s FiOS is introducing Flex View, a service that allows customers to rent or view VOD movies on devices ranging from computers to mobile phones.
The feature will be in all FiOS markets by month’s end, with 1,400 movie titles now available. That will triple by next year, as the service includes TV shows, the story says.
