A former sharpshooter in the NBA has joined ESPN as an analyst on the network’s NBA programming, reports SportsNewser.

The new studio analyst is a former small forward and shooting guard for the Golden State Warriors, Chris Mullin, who was known for his deadly accuracy. Mullin recently worked in the Warriors’ front office as general manager. He will be appearing on ESPN’s "NBA Countdown" as well as other basketball shows during the 2010-11 season.

In a statement, Mullin said, “I’ve been privileged throughout my career to be a part of many great organizations and I’m thrilled to be joining ESPN’s team. There are a lot of talented people at ESPN and I’m excited to be their teammate.”
