NBC and Endemol are working on a project that brings together two TV genres: the survival show and the dating show, reports the Hollywood Reporter’s The Live Feed blog.
"Love in the Wild" puts singles in the wilderness to see if they hit it off, the story says. Twenty men and women will be paired up each week and dropped off in a remote location with a map. At the end of each day, they’ll be given a romantic interlude at an oasis, the story says.
Then they’ll have the choice of staying with their partner or switching to a new one.
The eight-episode series is produced by Tom Shelly of "Dating in the Dark" and "Survivor" and is expected to debut in the summer.
