A former teen sensation and star of "The Partridge Family" was arrested Wednesday in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on a DUI charge, reports TMZ.com.

David Cassidy’s car was reportedly weaving on the Florida Turnpike around 8 p.m. Wednesday when the Florida Highway Patrol pulled him over. Cassidy claimed he’d had a glass of wine at lunch, as well as a painkiller (hydrocodone), but the trooper discovered a bottle of bourbon in the backseat, according to the report. When given a breath test, Cassidy was allegedly at about .14, well over the legal limit of .08.

After the arrest, Cassidy posted bond for $350 and was released.

Cassidy’s rep has denied that Cassidy was drunk at all. Jo-Ann Geffen told TMZ.com, "He would never jeopardize anyone on the road and he would not have been driving had he not had to go to a funeral … he’s never been arrested in his life before for anything."
