Kanye West Says He’s Canceling His Upcoming ‘Today’ Show Performance ‘For Obvious Reasons’ Following His Interview This Week With Matt Lauer

Rapper Kanye West’s beef with NBC’s “Today” show and interviewer Matt Lauer continued to produce fallout today, with the latest development being West’s cancellation of a scheduled Nov. 26 singing performance on Today,”  Entertainment Weekly reports.

West announced his cancellation of the “Today” performance on his Twitter account earlier today: “I’m not performing on the Today Show for obvious reasons. I’m so happy the world got to see just a small piece of ‘the set up.’”

West added that he doesn’t hate Matt Lauer, tweeting, “We don’t promote hate. That’s the whole point!!!” He added, “Much love to Matt and the whole Today Show. I accept ya’ll future apology in advance LOL!”

  7. How d isappointing! With just a few exceptions I come to feel really let down by what you call the perfect and worst of 2009. With all the exception of Melbourne is logo almost all the remaining I would be ashamed to put in my portfolio had I designed them. There once again I did notso I can breathe a sigh of relief.
