"Law & Order: Los Angeles" had real police officers called to its shoot on Wednesday after a real gun was found on the scene, reports the Associated Press.
The NBC crime drama was filming on-location in the Culver City area west of downtown Los Angeles when a cameraman noticed the gun on a rock, the story says.
An LAPD spokeswoman said the semiautomatic handgun was in working order. Thus far it is unknown how or why the real gun was on the outdoor set.
The show’s stars, Skeet Ulrich and Corey Stoll, who play detectives, were taping a scene during which they arrest a man for murder, the article notes.
