The nearly two-week strike that disrupted production of NBC’s "The Biggest Loser" has ended, as the producers and crew members on the show settled their labor dispute, reports the Los Angeles Times’ Company Town blog.

The production companies Reveille, 3Ball and 25/7 settled with the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, the story says. "The agreement is a positive step forward for the crew of the ‘Biggest Loser,’ especially in the area of health benefits,” said Mike Miller, vice president of the union. Reveille managing director and head of business operations Lee Rierson said the two sides reached a "fair agreement."

It includes allowing the show’s crew members to count their work hours toward their health insurance benefits; starting next summer, IATSE members need to work 400 hours every six months to retain or gain health insurance coverage, compared with the current minimum of 300 hours, the story notes.
