Syfy Reveals Plans to Burn Off Remaining Episodes of ‘Caprica’ After Campaign Fails to Save Show

Nov 22, 2010  •  Post A Comment

Fans of the Syfy series "Caprica" conducted a campaign to save the show, only to have Syfy cancel it anyway. Today those fans have to be disheartened to learn that the network will eliminate the remaining unaired episodes in a one-day burnoff, according to the Los Angeles Times.

On Jan. 4 Syfy will devote five hours, 6-11 p.m. ET, to "Caprica," marking the end of the show.

In an effort to convince Syfy not to cancel "Caprica," fans had collected $2,350 and sent 2,880 apples–a symbol from the show–to NBC Universal boss Steve Burke. The fruit was donated to City Harvest … and "Caprica" remains canceled.
