‘Biggest Loser’ Finale Lifts NBC to Win in Tuesday Ratings

The two-hour season finale of NBC’s "The Biggest Loser" was a winner for NBC in Tuesday night’s Nielsens, tying CBS’s "NCIS" for top show of the night in the 18-49 demo and helping NBC finish at No. 1 for the night in 18-49, TVbytheNumbers reports. However, CBS wound up with a huge win in total viewers.

NBC finished the night with a 3.4 average rating in adults 18-49, ahead of CBS (3.1 rating), Fox (2.1), Univision (1.7) and ABC (1.1). Fox and ABC aired all repeats.

CBS was well out front in total viewers with an average of 16.1 million to 9.9 million for NBC, 5.5 million for Fox and 4.3 million for both Univision and ABC.

At 8 p.m. ‘NCIS’ logged a 4.0 in the 18-49 demographic, while NBC’s "Minute to Win It" trailed with a 2.3 in the same demo.

At 9 p.m. the first hour of "The Biggest Loser" reached a 3.8 in the 18-49 demo, besting "NCIS: Los Angeles," which had a 3.2 in the same demographic.

The 10 p.m. hour was won by "The Biggest Loser" with a 4.2 in the 18-49 demo. That was twice as good as CBS’s "The Good Wife," which had a 2.1 in the same demo.
