Cable Net Slates ‘Nine Nights of Glory,’ Tribute to Olympic Documentarian

The work of sports film documentarian Bud Greenspan, who died over the weekend, will be featured in a special cable tribute, reports B&C.

Greenspan’s "Nine Nights of Glory," to be televised starting Saturday on Universal Sports, will begin with his chronicle of the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles and include his subsequent films from other Olympiads, in chronological order. The films will be shown over nine consecutive nights at 9 p.m. ET.

Here’s the schedule:

Jan. 1 – Los Angeles ‘84
Jan. 2 – Calgary ‘88
Jan. 3 – Lillehammer ‘94
Jan. 4 – Atlanta ‘96
Jan. 5 – Nagano ‘98
Jan. 6 – Sydney ‘00
Jan. 7 – Salt Lake City ‘02
Jan. 8 – Athens ‘04
Jan. 9 – Torino ‘06
