Richard Hatch, the first person to win CBS’s "Survivor"–who was later convicted of tax evasion for failure to pay taxes on his $1 million prize–has been accused of violating his probation, reports the AP.

Hatch was ordered to appear in Rhode Island federal court on Wednesday to answer charges he violated terms of his three-year probation.

Hatch has claimed that he was wrongly convicted and never owed the IRS for taxes. Just last month he provided evidence, in the form of two refund checks from the U.S. Treasury, continuing to defend his position.

The probation officer would not reveal how Hatch allegedly violated the terms of his probation.
