New York’s local stations are preparing for some changes in their news teams starting Jan. 3, as one station prepares for an anchor to return and another gets ready for a new lead anchor, the New York Daily News reports.

WNBC-TV will see anchor Sue Simmons return after eight weeks away following surgery that has kept her off the air since October, the story notes. And WCBS-TV is preparing for Maurice DuBois to begin his run as the station’s lead anchor, where he will be paired with Kristine Johnson, the article says.

DuBois has been with WCBS since 2004, although the shift creates a new team on the city’s newscasts.

At WABC-TV, meanwhile, sports anchor Scott Clark is retiring after a more than 20-year run, the story says.
