Snooki’s New Year’s Eve Stunt Rejected by Event’s Producers

Dec 30, 2010  •  Post A Comment

The co-producers of Times Square New Year’s Eve said they denied a request by “Jersey Shore” star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi to drop out of a ball during the event, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The co-producers said the request "came too late and was too impractical to fit in to our outdoor events," according to a statement.

The ball that Snooki would have been inside wouldn’t have been "the actual New Year’s ball in Times Square," but even having her in a separate ball on a "set-back roof" wasn’t permitted, the story says.

MTV had planned to feature Snooki and other "Jersey Shore" cast members to lead the New Year’s Eve crowd in a fist-pumping demonstration in an attempt to break a Guinness world record, the story adds.
