Actor Michael Douglas, appearing on the "Today" show this morning on NBC, said he’s cancer-free after a "wild six-month ride," reports the New York Post.
Douglas spoke with host Matt Lauer about his treatment, noting that the tumor is gone. "But, you know, I have to check out on a monthly basis now to maintain. I guess there’s not a total euphoria. I’ll probably take a couple of months of getting checked out. But it’s been a wild six-month ride," he said, according to the story.
Douglas said he’s working on regaining muscle mass after losing 32 pounds during his treatment, and has already regained 12 pounds. He is scheduled to begin shooting "Liberace" in May or June, based on the life of the pianist, the story notes.
