Google Chief Executive Eric Schmidt, who announced plans last week to exit his day-to-day chores as the company’s CEO, may be headed for television, reports the New York Post’s Page Six.
Schmidt has been talking with Liza McGuirk, executive producer of CNN’s "Parker Spitzer," about developing a show in which he’d be the host, the article notes. The pair had previously met on the Sunday program "Fareed Zakaria GPS," which McGuirk executive produced and on which Schmidt regularly appeared, the story adds.
Schmidt filmed a pilot for CNN in August, with McGuirk overseeing its production, according to the piece. Schmidt and Google didn’t respond to requests for comment, the story adds.
