"Saturday Night Live" is trying to convince Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg to appear in a cameo on the show alongside Jesse Eisenberg, the actor who plays him in "The Social Network," reports the New York Post’s Page Six.

Zuckerberg reportedly is interested in appearing on this weekend’s show to demonstrate that he has a sense of humor, the story says. Zuckerberg has previously said that he was misportrayed in the film, it adds.

A representative for "Saturday Night Live" declined to comment, while a representative for Zuckerberg didn’t respond to a request for comment, the story says.
